Strong winds cause damage around Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Friday was one of those days where you just gave up on having a good hair day because of the wind.

Aside from appearances, a lot of people were actually cleaning up from damage caused by this.

It was a little hit-and-miss trying to find damage, but with the help of you sitting at home this is what we found.

It was so windy it was hard for us to do interviews outside and all that wind blew out more than 9 car windows in the parking lot of Pinon Valley Elementary school.

“It’s just mind blowing really. You don’t expect wind to do damage like this per say, but i guess anything’s possible,” said school administrator Dustin Savage.

That’s not the only damage around town.

Nickie Crosby on Fort Carson sent us a picture of her shed completely blown apart.

Another viewer on Fort Carson sent us a picture of a roof taken off by this wind.

A big tree was downed in Bear Creek Regional Park.

Amber Lang sent us a picture of a tree in her back yard that fell through a fence.
