It’s a sight that makes you cringe: golf ball-size hail pounding on cars across southern Colorado.
As soon as the storm came down, so did the calls at Dentagon Auto Hail Repair.
“My phone is blowing up with friends telling me they got hit by hail,” owner Lance Kuss said. “I was actually at the Costco and was hit by the hail.”
The storm not only leaves a dent on your car, but on your wallet too, costing thousands of dollars in repairs.
Kuss said this latest storm doesn’t appear to be as big as the hailstorm from 2016, which kept him and his team busy for over a year.
“2016, we worked that storm for about 18 months, and there are still some cars hit from 2016 for sure,” Kuss said.
His advice is to contact your insurance company right away to begin the process.
“That can take between seven to 14 days for the insurance company to look at the vehicle, and once it they get with us, the repair takes three to four days,” Kuss said.
