I-25 reopens after Wednesday crash that seriously injured motorcyclist

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs has reopened after being closed Wednesday night due to a serious crash.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 25 just south of the Cimarron Street exit. Police said a motorcyclist lost control and crashed.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Traffic on southbound Interstate 25 was diverted at Cimarron Street while police investigated the crash.
