UPDATE: WEDNESDAY 8/30/2023 8:05 p.m.

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The structure fire that was burning on West Colorado Avenue on Wednesday evening has been knocked down, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD).

According to CSFD, when firefighters arrived at the scene, they had issues accessing the building due to the fact that it was boarded up and appeared to be abandoned. No one was injured in the fire, though CSFD said one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a working structure fire in downtown Colorado Springs.

The Structure fire is at 118 West Colorado Avenue near South Sierra Madre Street.
