COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — On October 1 the Families First Prevention Services Act went into effect providing more resources to keep families together and encouraging the placement of kids in foster care in family-like home settings.

Ben Schooch, Placement Coordinator, with Kids Crossing explained the benefits and challenges that the new act brings.
