PUEBLO, Colo. — Inattentive driving is being blamed for a crash that killed a Texas woman and injured one other person on Interstate 25 south of Pueblo Wednesday afternoon.
The Colorado State Patrol said the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on I-25 about 21 miles south of Pueblo. A Ford F-150 was headed southbound when it crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was also headed southbound.
The passenger in the pickup, 21-year-old Mary Englebert of Sachse, Texas, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the pickup, 25-year-old Richard Garza of San Antonio, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The two people in the tractor-trailer were not injured.
Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers said the crash was caused by inattentive driving.
