PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. — A semi-truck driver was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 25 in Pueblo County Tuesday morning.
Troopers said the rollover happened around 5 a.m. near mile marker 90, which is between Colorado City and Pueblo. A semi towing two trailers was headed northbound when it went off the left side of the road. The driver overcorrected to the right, causing the two trailers to roll onto their sides. The semi and trailers went into the center median, with the tractor partially blocking a lane of traffic.
Troopers said the driver of the truck died in the crash. He has been identified as Mark Martin, 47, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Troopers said alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in the crash. Troopers believe Martin fell asleep. They said he was wearing his seatbelt.
