Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office gets Narcan donations from local hospital

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office received some much needed supplies from the St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center Monday.

Amid the nation’s ongoing opioid crisis, the hospital has donated 86 doses of the life-saving anti-overdose drug – Narcan – to deputies.

While local police officers have been carrying the drug since June, now sheriff’s deputies in Pueblo County can also carry the nasal spray version of the drug.

The partnership will also provide more than 50 additional doses to the Pueblo Police Department.
