(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said one victim died following an early morning shooting on Sunday, March 26.

At approximately 3:44 a.m., CSPD received several 911 calls reporting shots being fired in the 2700 block of Palmer Park Boulevard. Arriving officers found two people who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. One victim later died of his injuries, said CSPD. Detectives from the Homicide Unit have responded and will continue the investigation.

CSPD is at the scene of a shooting on the east side of the City Sunday morning on March 26.

Officers are responding to a shooting that occurred near Palmer Park Boulevard and Yuma Street.

Police say there may potentially be two victims.
