Landscape painter Jack Denton has spent the past six years capturing America’s Mountain, and now his paintings are on display at the Garden of the Gods Club.
Denton, 50, moved to Colorado Springs in 2012. He set up his easel for thousands of hours across the Front Range to interpret Pikes Peak’s vast majestic beauty in his loose painting style, which puts an emphasis on luminosity.
“This is the unveiling of six years of my life, and I feel like in some ways I’ve only scratched the surface,” Denton said.
The exhibition is free to the public. It’s happening now until Sunday.
