Peterson Air Force Base will test its tornado warning siren Friday at noon.
The base’s Giant Voice system will sound the weather emergency tone, or a solid siren, for one minute.
The test is conducted to ensure the Giant Voice system, specifically the tornado warning notification, is fully operational.
A shorter Giant Voice tests occurs every Friday.
The command post will alert all Peterson personnel through the ATHOC messaging system before the test occurs.
