(FREMONT COUNTY, Colo.) — A man found dead late Friday night on Jan. 6, is being investigated as a suspicious death, according to FCSO.

Based on information collected at the scene, FCSO says a person of interest has been identified and taken into custody.

At approximately 9 p.m., deputies were called to the 400 block of South Reynolds regarding a suspicious death. Deputies found a man dead with signs of trauma.

This is an ongoing investigation. Further details will be released at a later time by the Sheriff’s Office.

ORIGINAL STORY: Overnight law enforcement activity on Reynolds Avenue

SATURDAY 1/07/2023 10:44 a.m.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reported law enforcement activity near Reynolds Avenue at the Arkansas River late Friday night on Jan. 6.

FCSO asked the public to avoid the area in a post to social media. At approximately 11 p.m., FCSO said Reynolds Avenue was back open with investigators on scene.

There is no active danger to the community, according to FCSO. Further details will be released at a later time by the Sheriff’s Office.
