One driver killed, another injured in crash involving FedEx truck

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — One person was killed and another was injured in a crash involving a FedEx truck Monday evening.

Police said the crash happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Palmer Park Boulevard and Fetterman Drive. The FedEx truck was trying to make a left turn onto westbound Palmer Park Boulevard when it was hit broadside by an AMC Concord.

The driver of the car died at the hospital. She has been identified as Kianna Nash, 26, of Colorado Springs.

The driver of the FedEx truck was treated for his injuries and released. He was cited for a stop sign violation and for careless driving resulting in death.

The intersection was closed for about four hours while crews investigated the crash.
