COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Santa’s elves at work? Or landscapers?
“Each year the trees seem to grow a bit,” said Ken Mackpherson, irrigation technician for Timberline Landscaping.
These guys with Timberline Landscaping make lighting up your home easy.
“We provide all the product, installation, take down, storage and most important of all, the design,” said Kevin Hunt, business development for Christmas Decor by Timberline Landscaping.
Each design is unique and custom made for each home.
“Lights on the roof all the way around the house. So, when you’re done, the entire neighborhood’s going to be able to see that house,” Mackpherson said.
It also turns out, there’s an art to putting Christmas lights on trees.
“We try not to do a candy cane wrap. We try to you know, go in and out, so that we get a 3D dimension, so that it looks like the entire tree is full,” Mackpherson said.
Depending on the landscape and the size of the home, the process can take anywhere from two to 8 hours.
“When it snows it gets a little more difficult. When it’s windy like this, it’s a lot more difficult,” Mackpherson said.
In the end, it’s the homeowner’s reaction that makes it all worth it.
“Seeing the people that are happy. You know, watching their face when we’re done, they’re like, ‘Yeah!’ You know, it’s fun, it’s all about the holiday season,” Mackpherson said.
Pricing starts at $250 and can go up depending on the design.>> Click here for an interactive map of all the best homes decorated for Christmas.
