About 240 soldiers from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division were welcomed home at a ceremony Saturday.
The soldiers returned from a nine-month deployment to Europe, where they helped with the Atlantic Resolve mission to build stronger relationships with American allies.
For the families back stateside, it means a lot of sacrifices.
“I’ve had to do it myself with a son, and have my family fly out to help me from Washington state,” Katelynn Gabriel, whose husband came home Saturday, said. “It’s been hard and it’s been frustrating, so I’m ready to have him back and continue on living our life together.”
