COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Some of the best cyclists in the world competed at the Masters Track National Championships in Colorado Springs Sunday.
They all packed into the Velodrome with their specialty bikes that have no brakes and only one massive gear.
“There’s a record for every single event that we have,” track director Christopher Schmidt said. “Anything from a 200-meter, which is going to be the shortest timed event that we have, up to an hour record. The national records are historically a little bit slower than the world record. So far we’ve had four world records broken and four national records.”
