COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman early Friday morning.
Police responded to the 700 block of Chapman Drive after receiving reports of a stabbing at an apartment.
Investigators say a woman called the Colorado Springs Police Department and reported that she had stabbed her boyfriend and that her boyfriend had walked away from the scene.
The woman and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument, resulting in a “physical struggle” throughout the apartment, according to officials.
The victim’s boyfriend allegedly threw a beer bottle at her, leaving her with minor injuries.
As a result, the victim grabbed a knife and stabbed the male in the back side of his shoulder.
The male, identified as Kent Clark, was contacted several blocks away from the scene and was found with a stab wound to his shoulder.
Clark was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Clark, 21, was later transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
He faces charges of third degree assault, harassment, reckless endangerment and violation of a protection order.
