Woman killed in Black Forest crash

A woman was killed in a two-car crash in Black Forest Tuesday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol. 

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Hodgen Road near the intersection with Black Forest Road. Troopers said a Toyota Matrix was headed eastbound when the driver lost control. The car went into the westbound lane, where it was hit by a Ford Thunderbird that was headed westbound. 

The driver of the Toyota, 50-year-old Susan Zeller of Colorado Springs, was taken to the hospital, where she died. 

The driver of the Ford, a 35-year-old woman from Elbert, was hospitalized with minor injuries. 

Troopers said both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
