Widefield District 3 has broken ground on a new school, 22 years in the making.
Grand Mountain School will be in Lorson Ranch. It will be pre-K through eighth grade, and focus primarily on computer science integration.
“It’s a big deal because we’ve really tried to be wise with our taxpayer money, make sure that our buildings are running at an efficient level,” superintendent Scott Campbell said. “Quite honestly, we take it very seriously when we have to go to our community and ask those hardworking folks for money to help support education of all children.”
Grand Mountain School is made possible by a bond voters passed in November. It will open in fall 2019.
