Saturday’s chilly weather didn’t keep supporters from coming out for Pueblo Rape Crisis Services’ sixth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event.
Executive director Kristi Roque said one in four women and one in six men in Colorado will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. She says more people should talk about it.
“We all know someone who’s experienced sexual violence, whether that’s ourselves, a family member, a friend, colleague, if you’re a teacher, it’s a student,” Roque said. “Think about the people in your life and show your support by supporting them when they need you.”
They also had a big turnout for their Clothesline Project, which supports survivors.
