VIDEO: Forest Service burning slash piles to prevent future wildfires


The U.S. Forest Service is always working to prevent future wildfires here in Colorado. Right now, fire mitigation crews are working in Beulah, burning 30,000 piles of potential fuel–treating 1,000 acres of forest land. Led by Assistant Engine Captain Alfonso Montoya, FOX21 photojournalist Mike Duran takes us into the woods to show us their work.
