A portion of the intersection of Union Boulevard and Pikes Peak Avenue will reopen Monday night after being closed since early May due to construction.
Union Boulevard will reopen in both directions at 8 p.m. Monday. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction.
Pikes Peak Avenue will continue to be restricted to local access only between Hancock Avenue and Meade Avenue, and between Bonfoy Avenue and Printers Parkway.
Drivers on Pikes Peak Avenue should continue to use the the detours already in place. Westbound traffic is being diverted along Circle Drive north to Platte Avenue, and eastbound traffic is being diverted along Hancock Avenue south to Fountain Boulevard.
Some Mountain Metro Transit bus routes are affected by the closure. Visit coloradosprings.gov/mountain-metro for updated route information.
