Two people were injured when the Jeep they were driving went off the side of Gold Camp Road Friday night, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 10 p.m. A Jeep Wrangler was headed northbound when the driver lost control. The Jeep went off the side of the road, rolled several times, and came to rest at the bottom of a canyon.

Troopers said the driver sustained moderate injuries, and the passenger sustained serious injuries. Both occupants were wearing their seat belts.

Troopers said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Charges against the driver are pending.
