Student brings weapon to Security junior high school

SECURITY, Colo. — A student brought a weapon to a Security junior high school earlier this month, according to a spokesperson for Widefield District 3.

The district said a student brought an unspecified weapon to Sproul Junior High on April 15.

“The school was made aware and immediate action was taken to ensure the safety of students. Those directly involved were notified,” the district said.

No other details about the incident were available.
