The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a skier died on Saturday at the Keystone Resort.

Detectives reported that around 12:30 p.m. they were called on reports that a 52-year-old man was found unconscious and not breathing at the bottom of a ski run.

“There was no indication that the skier had a collision with any object,” said the press release.

Skiers on the run had begun CPR on the man before he was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The man’s identity is being withheld while officials work on contacting his loved ones, according to SCSO.
