Serpentine Drive in Manitou Springs will be closed for repairs for three months starting Wednesday.
The road, which is south of Highway 24 between mile markers 32 and 33, will be closed starting Wednesday. The closure is expected to last until May 31.
Traffic will be redirected to the east and west Manitou Avenue exits. CDOT said no traffic delays are expected.
The road is closing so crews can repair the road’s historic retaining wall, which was built in 1935. Crews will be reinforcing the structural integrity of the 160-foot-long stone wall, as well as adding drainage and resetting the facade to match the original stonework.
