Since opening Sasquatch Cookies in August 2017, the owners have been renting a commercial kitchen space inside a Colorado Springs cake shop to freshly bake their giant, flavor-packed cookies which are then delivered straight to your door.
Now, Sasquatch Cookies is in the process of getting its own storefront and hopes to have the doors open by June. This will allow them to extend delivery days and hours and offer pick-up options. However, the owners are lacking the funds required to purchase the commercial bakery equipment they need.
To help offset the costs, they have entered FedEx’s small business grant contest, and they need votes from the community to make it into the judging round.
Voting ends April 1, and the businesses with the most votes will make it into the top 100. Those 100 businesses will then be assessed based on their application. Ten grants of up to $50,000 will be given out, and the winners will be announced April 29.
Simply search for Sasquatch Cookies, click on the photo, select “vote for this business,” and enter your name and email address. You can vote once a day until April 1.
Sasquatch Cookies is also asking supporters to help them get a permanent home through a crowdfunding campaign. Now through the beginning of May, the community can purchase cookies and other items to support the cause through their Indiegogo site.
