Pueblo raising money for “Gateway to the Southwest” sculptures

The city of Pueblo is looking to install two 45-foot sculptures in the roundabouts on Dillon Drive Bridge.

The theme of the sculptures is “Gateway to the Southwest.” About 18.7 million cars travel along Interstate 25 in that area, and the city believes these pieces would give Pueblo a unique identity.

The total cost for the project is anticipated to be $800,000. Right now, they’re working to raise more money from the community. The city hopes to have the project finished by March.
