Pueblo City Council continues to discuss the Pueblo Animal Protection Act on Monday night.
This ordinance would require all animal shelters within the Pueblo City limits to have a 90 percent live release rate, making only 10 percent of the animals able to be euthanized.
This is a hot topic, in fact, some city council members are trying to table Monday night’s vote. That did not pass.
Instead, council members voted to make a decision Monday night and moved on to public comment.
Public comment was still going on as of 10:30 p.m.
