COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police say a woman who they thought may have been the victim of a kidnapping near Memorial Park earlier this week has been found safe.
Police said the woman was seen getting into a car with a man around 11 p.m. Sunday in the area of Hancock Avenue and Costilla Street, which is on the west side of Memorial Park.
On Monday, police asked for the public’s help identifying the woman so they could contact her to check her welfare. Police said the woman was found safe on Tuesday. Officers determined she had been the victim of a domestic violence-related crime. The suspect, 36-year-old Robert Cavazos, has been arrested.
