It was tee-time Monday in Colorado Springs as 80 and 90-year-olds’ showed off their skills in the seventh annual octogenarian golf tournament.
“Our youngest golfer this year is 80, our oldest one is 93,” said Al Williams, octogenarian golfer.
This year was the biggest turn-out yet, with nearly 80 players participating. It all took place at the Colorado Springs Country Club
“Everybody’s friendly, everybody is helpful, and they just knock themselves out to please us,” said Terry Wittry, another golfer at the tournament.
There were three awards given out Monday; one for the ladies nine-hole tournament and two more for the men, because there were so many.
For the women, 44 was the best score and for the men, it was 39.
