The final North Cheyenne Cañon Park Master Plan is now available online.
The new plan was presented to the City of Colorado Springs’ Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Advisory Board on April 12. Board members recommended changes to the plan and took community feedback into consideration.
“Things like maintaining a 20 mile-an-hour speed limit within the park, being able to pave Gold Camp Road for many environmental and natural resource reasons,” David Deitemeyer with Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services said. “To be able to optimize our parking so we can make more efficient parking of the park that’s already up there, and provide for a better, more efficient use of those spaces.”
The board is scheduled to vote on the plan late next week.
