Woodland Park’s first dog park opened Saturday.
Golden Meadows Dog Park opened at 9 a.m., with the help of the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce. The Pet Food Pantry of Teller County was collecting donations, and also had pups up for adoption.
Bianca Bryant came up with the idea two years ago as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. But she’s not talking all of the credit.
“The whole community has come together to build this dog park,” Bryant said. “I couldn’t have done it without my community. I can’t wait to see it in action and being used.”
Bryant is a junior at Woodland Park High School.
The dog park is located within the Meadow Wood Sports Complex.
