A new store opened in Woodland Park on Wednesday with a line wrapped around the building.
Natural Grocers explained that they officer “everything from organic produce to free-range eggs to health coaching and more.”
On Wednesday more than 300 people stood outside in 10-degree weather to be the first inside. The first 100 people got a goodie bag filled with the recipe and all the necessary ingredients for a breakfast quiche. Some got a cash prize, including one lucky winner that got $100 a week for six months in store credit.
The store currently employs 18 people at this time.
“Everywhere I went to set up the store, I would mention what business I was from, and people would always ask when are you opening? It’s just so exciting to come out and have the community support us like this. I think this is going to be a great store, bringing great food and great quality to the community,” said the store manager.
Natural Grocer started in the Golden area and now has 152 stores in 19 different states.
