A minor league baseball team will once again be in Pueblo County.
According to Christopher Markuson, director at the Pueblo County Department of Economic Development, the team owner will be in southern Colorado Wednesday to announce the teams move.
The yet-to-be-named team will relocate to Pueblo after Major League Baseball identified the area as a viable location.
This is the first time a team has been in the area since the mid-1990’s.
According to Markuson, the team is owned by three generations of family members, some of whom plan to move to the area to oversee the team.
Pueblo County will host a public meet-and-greet with the team owner on Wednesday, June 20 at 11 a.m., at the Runyon Field Complex. The community is invited to attend to celebrate the occasion and welcome the team to Pueblo
