A man, a woman, and three dogs were found dead inside an eastern El Paso County home on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The man and woman were identified as James Tomsik, 55, and Lana Senna, 50. Deputies said Senna’s husband called them Monday evening to report the deaths at their home on Wagner Lane, which is about 12 miles south of Ramah in eastern El Paso County.
Deputies said Senna, Senna’s husband, and Tomsik, who was their friend, all lived in the home. The husband, an over-the-road truck driver, told deputies he had last spoken with Senna on the night of the blizzard, which was 12 days before they were found. At the time, Senna told him there was no power at the home, according to deputies. The husband’s attempts to reach her since then had been unsuccessful.
Deputies said the deaths are not considered suspicious, and they do not feel there is any threat to the community.
The coroner’s office has not yet determined how the two died.
