A wanted man out of Virginia is behind bars after being found near a Pueblo’s East Side Skate Park on Friday.
Virginia authorities learned Christopher Hobson, 35, of Bookneal, Va., was in Colorado and alerted the U.S. Marshals’ Colorado Violent Offender Task Force, which include Pueblo County Sheriff detectives, to be on the lookout for him.
Hobson, who has an extensive criminal history to include felony arrests for drugs, weapons, assault, fraud and theft, was wanted on a failure to appear warrant for drugs in Henrico, Va.
Pueblo County Sheriff’s Detectives received a tip Friday night that Hobson was in the area of the Skate Park at Sixth Street and Erie Avenue in Pueblo. Detectives arrested Hobson without incident and was later booked into Pueblo County Jail.
“Detectives did a great job of following the leads that resulted in the apprehension of this suspect, who had eluded authorities for some time. This was an example of solid team work to get this dangerous man off the streets of Pueblo County,” said Pueblo County Sheriff kirk M. Taylor.
