Man sentenced to life in prison for shooting last summer

A Colorado Springs man was sentenced to life in prison for a murder last summer.

Friday morning, a jury found Davin Michael Carrera, 32, guilty of First Degree Murder in the shooting death of Michael Dewayne Booker. Booker was killed outside of a car near Academy and Dublin on August 16th.

Following the verdict, Judge David Miller sentenced Carrera to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
