A man who was arrested at a Colorado Springs motel on Thursday was arrested again at the same motel early Monday morning, according to police.

Police said around 2 a.m., they were called to the Off the Grid Motel on Nevada Avenue just south of Austin Bluffs Parkway to investigate a domestic dispute. On the way there, officers discovered the suspect, 39-year-old John Arnold, was the same man who had been arrested and charged with assault at the motel on Thursday evening

When officers arrived, they learned Arnold had been sending the victim text messages, including some that mentioned weapons, and had gotten into an argument with her, according to police. The victim was able to get to safety and call police.

Police said Arnold left the motel before officers arrived, but they found him and arrested him without further incident.
