Lead singer of Five Finger Death Punch donates to Urban Peak Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Urban Peak Colorado Springs was granted a big donation this week.

The local non-profit that helps homeless youth was presented with a bundle of sleeping bags for this winter.

The donation was all thanks to the lead singer of Five Finger Death Punch Ivan Moody.

The band was in Colorado Springs last week and since Moody has strong ties to Colorado he wanted to help out the local shelters.

Moody then got in touch with local rock station 94.3 KILO who were able to get the donation organized.

"We do have a lot of youth that aren't in the shelter yet and we have not made those relationships so we are working on that, but we can give them a little warmth while they are still sleeping on the streets," said Courtney Deuser, of Urban Peak Colorado Springs.

In total there were 50 sleeping bags donated.
