One person was arrested overnight after assaulting a Colorado Springs police officer.
CSPD said they were called to a disturbance about 3:45 Tuesday morning near Woodmen and Academy. The first officer on scene broke up the disturbance and detained a man while a female attacked him, striking him in the head multiple times, according to police. That officer was able to hold both people until more officers arrived. The man was cited for obstruction.
The girl was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault on a Peace Officer. She was taken to a hospital, where she then spit in a 2nd officer’s face. She is currently being held in a juvenile detention facility.
The officer was treated for minor injuries.
