State leaders report increase in coronavirus cases in Colorado

DENVER — In an update Tuesday, Gov. Jared Polis and state health officials discussed the recent increase in Colorado coronavirus cases.

Polis said while much of the increase can be attributed to students on college campuses, we have also seen an increase in cases among other age groups. The health department said there has also been an increase in the percent positivity rate.

Joining Polis for the update were Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera; Dr. Rachel Herlihy with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment; and Adrianne Maddux, Executive Director of Denver Indian Health and Family Services.
