Ryan Boyle, a member of the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Cycling Team, joins FOX21 Weekend Morning News to discuss his book “When the Lights Go Out: A Boy Given a Second Chance.”

In 2003, Boyle was hit and dragged by a truck causing him to immediately go into a coma. After emergency brain surgery, Boyle woke up from his coma and soon started a rigorous battle to learn how to speak, eat, walk, and do everything else all over again.

Boyle thrived through the recovery process and paved his way to become the youngest member of the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Team, winning a silver medal in the Rio 2016 Games.

Boyle’s second book, “The Fruit of All Evil,” will be released by the end of this year.
