The Fountain-Fort Carson and Widefield school districts are hosting an Elevating Wellness event Thursday. The goal is to connect people with the resources they need to take care of their physical and mental health.
There will be resources, classes, and booths to help with things like trauma, mindfulness, and overall well being.
It’s a chance for these school districts to branch out in the community.
“We’re doing this kind of work in schools,” Fountain-Fort Carson spokeswoman Christy McGee said. “We’re working individually with families and with students who need this every day. And so what a program like this does is it allows us to just show all of our families and all of our communities the resources that they have access to that they may not have known about.”
The event is Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Welte Education Center at 330 Lyckman Place in Fountain.
