Fort Carson soldier dies in non-combat-related incident in Iraq

A Fort Carson soldier died in a non-combat-related incident while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq earlier this week, according to post officials. 

Spc. Michael Osorio, 20, died Tuesday in Taji, Iraq. The Department of Defense said the incident is under investigation. 

Osorio was from Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. He joined the Army in July 2017, and arrived at Fort Carson in May. He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd ABCT, 4th Infantry Division. He deployed to Iraq on February 23.
