A Colorado Springs family is coming to terms with the tragic loss of their 21-year-old son, Taylor White.
The Grand Canyon University student was studying to be an athletic trainer and was just weeks away from tying the knot.
“Taylor loved me with his whole soul, with his whole being, and love is a strong as death,” said Taylor’s fiance, Sarah Tedeschi.
On April 8, Taylor went on a late-night run with a friend in Phoenix, when a white SUV ran a red light and hit him. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Taylor always wanted to be first, and now he’s in heaven,” Taylor’s father, Nate White, said.
His sudden death caused wedding toasts to turn into final farewells, congratulations turned into goodbyes, and wedding vows turned into eulogies.
“Love is as strong as death,” said Tedeschi.
However, the White family and friends are remaining strong, reminding the community that Taylor’s love and passion is everlasting.
“It’s not gone,” Tedeschi said. “It’s right here with us, right now.”
The suspect involved in the crash has yet to be arrested.
