Smoke was visible for miles as firefighters fought a scrap pile fire in southern Colorado Springs Tuesday afternoon.
The fire started around 3 p.m. in a scrap pile at EVRAZ Recycling on Las Vegas Street, which is southeast of the Interstate 25 and Circle Drive interchange. Dark smoke from the fire was visible for miles.
Firefighters said no buildings are threatened by the fire.
