Dutch Bros. Coffee is commemorating ALS Awareness Month with its Drink One for Dane fundraiser.
The fundraiser is in honor of Dane Boersma, their cofounder, who was diagnosed with ALS and died in 2009.
Friday, all Dutch Bros. locations are donating proceeds from every drink sold to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Last year, the fundraiser raised $1.3 million.
“I knew Dane, and he left an amazing legacy,” regional operator Cody King said. “He was an insanely humble and inspiring leader, and he really is why our company is what it is today, with the focal point of people and culture and love.”
This year’s goal is to raise $1.5 million.
