Police said the two-car crash happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Rangewood Drive. Morgan Deluna, 19, of Colorado Springs was headed southbound in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when she ran the stop sign, according to police. She hit the driver’s side of a Ford Fiesta that was turning left onto Austin Bluffs.

The driver of the Ford, 25-year-old Brianna Templeton of Lone Tree, died on the scene. Police said she was wearing her seat belt.

Deluna was treated at a local hospital and released. She is charged with one count of careless driving resulting in death, and one count of running a stop sign. Police said she was not speeding and was not impaired.
