Ever since news broke of Kelsey Berreth’s disappearance, suddenly Woodland Park would capture the eyes of national news.
For those living in the area, this came as a huge shock to the community.
“It’s kind of creepy that it happened in this neighborhood here, because usually this kind of stuff doesn’t happen around here,” said Joe Knapp, who lives in Woodland Park.
Many never expected this kind of tragedy to hit their little town.
“It’s shocking what people are capable of,” Gwen Blair, a Woodland Park visitor, said. “It’s uncomfortable to know that people will reach such extremes when they snap.”
Those following the case closely just hope there’s closure soon and the right person is put behind bars.
